Matt Russell's Extension programming translates and synthesizes University research to inform management decisions made by forest landowners and to guide strategic planning for natural resource professionals. His Extension content focuses on strategies to sustain the health and productivity of Minnesota forests.


Johanna Desprez is Extension Forest-Wildlife Program Coordinator for the Assessing Vegetation for Impacts from Deer (AVID) Program in Minnesota, a citizen science program developed to monitor the impact of deer across Minnesota.  She holds an MS in Forestry from Purdue University, where her research focused on the regional shifts of tree species due to climate change.
